✝️Spiritual Inventory: End of Month: Remember, Review, Reflect
📆 Time to check in on how your month went? Whatever you are doing today, stop & look at where you have come in 1 month.
💭Ponder these questions:
❓How did you face any challenges/struggles this month?
❓How did you celebrate your victories?
❓Did you move forward in your spiritual journey/goals, stay stagnant or backslide?
❓Did you doubt/question God this month?
❓Did you try to love others as Jesus loves them & you?
❓Did you let worldly/earthly views influence your mood, decisions, paths?
❓Did you share your relationship with Christ with anyone this month?
📣Now take everything you have thought about for July & PRAY on it. Let it go!
🗣️In doing PWP, I truly share my authentic relationship with God, my journey and walk with Christ. This month in doing my own review, I realised how much talking AT God I had been doing & how little I was listening. All month I was forcing the conversation instead of being still, quiet & hearing God’s direction for me. All the while God was talking to me through Bible studies and my online church service reminding me to get away from distraction and be still and look for Him. It took the whole month, praying & going back to God to hear him. And in only the way that God works, He led me to practice what I had learned….
👩💻 Last week, Puko, went missing, and it sent me into a whirlwind of anxiety and worry. While it might not rank as the most urgent of humankind’s issues, it was a significant concern for me.
Puko is well-trained, and we follow a routine together. I trust in our bond, but as the hours passed with no sign of him, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was not right this time. I searched frantically in the three places he usually frequents, reaching out to neighbors and locals for any information.
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, I retreated to a bench on the banks of the river. In this moment of distress, I knew I needed to pray, to connect with God and seek His guidance. But instead of filling the prayer with my usual stream of words, I chose to be silent and listen.
In that stillness, I experienced a sense of calmness washing over me, and the panic subsided. I realized that no matter the outcome, everything would ultimately be okay because I had brought my concerns to God, who is always faithful.
With a renewed sense of peace, I decided to make one last attempt to find Puko. I glanced once more through the basement window that I had searched countless times before, and there, to my great relief, was Puko. He was hurt, but thankfully not severely. Although he could walk, it seemed his rear/tail area was the source of his pain. Puko had been lost and hurt, but he returned to the place he knew I would find him.
We took Puko to the vet, where it was determined that he had no broken bones or internal issues, and no visible cuts or scrapes to indicate what caused his distress. The cause remains unclear, but my heart was filled with gratitude that he was safe and would be okay.
📚This experience, while centered around a missing cat, holds valuable lessons. Like Paul’s explanation in Philippians 4, it taught me to calm my anxiety and that no prayer is too small or insignificant. God hears our cries and offers peace even in the midst of anxiousness. My moment of silent prayer allowed me to experience His presence and find comfort in knowing that He cares for the smallest details of our lives. In times of worry, we must remember to trust in His guidance, even when faced with uncertainty.
